A longitudinal analysis of green infrastructure conditions in Coastal Texan cities

Green Infrastructure (GI) has gained attention as a strategy for minimizing flood damage and enhancing ecological services in developed developing areas. Previous studies have investigated the positive effects of GI, focusing primarily on how amount GI impacts mitigation, but not its shape, connectivity, or quantity. Further, these been mostly based single time period longitudinal. This paper explores conditions high low risk coastal Texan cities over to identify longitudinal controlling set socio-economic, climate/biophysical, development variables. The research examined sixty-eight 10,000 population from 2001 2016, conducting spatial panel data models 5-year intervals. Multiple landscape indices measuring size, isolation, connectivity were used measure quantity condition. Results indicate that conditions, especially levels, appear be improving low-risk while worsening high-risk cities. For control variables, reduction imperviousness was found more effective managing than These results suggest planners should enhance efforts improve current specifically Additionally, conservation policies transfer rights together with regulations increase conditions.
